The Freight business is well positioned to supply vehicles, technology and expertise to move cargo safely, timeously and cost effectively across the country. Our national network of sites allows us to store and effectively distribute goods to numerous locations. Planning tools and monitoring equipment enable us to ensure proper safeguarding of customer goods as well as the ability to track and trace customer goods from the manufacturing process right through to the end user.

The Freight business is made up of three core pillars consisting of:

Long Distance - provides a national primary haulage service across the country with deliveries also being made into Botswana, Namibia and Mozambique. 80% of all tonnage moved is through long term contracts across a blue chip customer base. Market sectors include paper and pulp, packaging, building materials, food and plastics industries.

Dedicated Contracts - involves providing dedicated equipment to cover a range of activities across industries as diverse as raw timber, sugar cane, building materials and paper and pulp.  It is within our dedicated contracts pillar that primary haulage, warehousing and secondary distribution services are offered.

4PL - entails sourcing and securing dedicated sub-contractors to handle the long distance surplus volumes and to provide a degree of elasticity across the customer base when contractual customer’s volumes drop off.  4PL covers all market sectors of Freights business.
