Over the past month, South Africa has been gripped by World Cup fever. Despite expectations to the contrary, the country has emerged triumphant from this period and received many international plaudits for our successful and trouble-free hosting of one of the world’s largest sporting events.

On such a note, we are pleased to report the positive feedback that Response Couriers, a business unit of the Super Group’s supply chain division, recently received from one of our international guests who found himself in the unfortunate position of leaving his passport and travel documents behind en route from Cape Town to Bloemfontein. Dear Lisa,

A friend from Canada stayed overnight with my husband and I last night. He was in Cape Town specifically to watch the game yesterday, and is due to fly back to Canada from Johannesburg this evening. He couldn't get a direct flight out of Cape Town, so had to drive to Bloemfontein to catch a flight at around 4pm, which would get him to Joburg in time for his connecting flight to Heathrow. He left at 4am this morning and called me at around 6am to advise that he had left his wallet, air tickets and passport at my house in Cape Town. A tricky situation, given his timing and itinerary! We decided that I would try to find a courier who could get the documents to him by the time he arrived in Bloem.

I did a Google search and found your website. By this time, it was around 7am. I contacted the out of hours number and reached Labeeba Whisgary. I explained the situation to Labeeba and she acted immediately. I agreed to drop off the parcel and got lost on the way to her office. She arranged for her driver to meet me rather than expecting me to find my own way there. The precious package is currently winging its way to Bloemfontein and Labeeba has arranged for the office there to hold the package until my friend arrives. This was a potentially disastrous situation, but thanks to Labeeba and the team, we've found a way to get my friend and his documents back to Canada on time.

I feel compelled to write to you now to formally thank Labeeba and the Parow team for their speedy, efficient, impressive service. I have bookmarked your site and will tell anyone who needs an urgent courier to contact Response first.
