Supply Chain – Africa
The African cluster of the Supply Chain division provides long distance, cross-border transport, third party distribution and transport brokerage in sub-Saharan Africa. Additional services include customs clearing, transit bonds, warehousing, bagging, trade finance and insurance.
Typical cargo transported into the region include break bulk items such as foodstuffs, consumables and mining equipment, whilst agricultural and mining products are transported out of the region.
Divisional business unit
Offers efficient, reliable transport throughout the Southern African region. The company transports a variety of cargo including fuel, edible oils, chemicals, fertiliser, tea, tobacco, sugar, flour, salt, steel and all other general cargo. The fleet is registered in three different countries, namely Zimbabwe, Zambia and Malawi to facilitate parcel movements within the region. The movement of goods is monitored 24 hours a day, with full back up services available. To ensure the easy passage of goods and cargo, in-transit bond facilities are available at Beit Bridge, Nyamapanda, Chirundu and Forbes Border posts.
Superail is a newly established competence centre focused primarily on the rail industry. The company specializes in the full life cycle of rail technology, strategy, logistics operations and related services as well as port and terminal services.
