Super Group is a firm believer in the maxim that a company is only as good as its people. The Super Group employee is loyal, committed and enthusiastic, focussing on developing client relationships, and is supported by a corporate culture that is performance driven but grounded in a strong foundation of ethical and moral values. We will continue to invest in developing our people to ensure they have the appropriate skills to perform their job to the best of their abilities whilst adding value to our clients’ operations.
Skills Development
The aim of the group’s people development policy is to affirm our commitment to the development of the intellectual property (knowledge, skills and experience) of our employees.
Intellectual (human) capital is the cornerstone of a company’s success, and in the Super Group context we recognise that our people are not only our competitive advantage, but one of our core competencies.
It is through the collective capability of our people that Super Group will contribute to the economic growth and development of South Africa and to the group’s performance, profitability and sustainable growth.
Online Intranet Academy
The academy is an online learning facility dedicated to helping employees further their careers. It serves as a one-stop central learning shop, incorporating skills and competence development, personal and career development and career opportunities. The learning academy incorporates a career development centre and skills assessments tool libraries.
Super Star Driver Training
Our businesses hire competent people in order to reduce expenditure and risks. The road freight industry is currently experiencing a tremendous shortage of qualified, skilled and competent drivers. Being in possession of a valid driver’s license and public driver’s permit does not necessarily equate to being skilled and competent.
As a result, Super Group has established a driving academy, specialising in the evaluation and finishing training of drivers, providing a practical solution which bridges the gap between a licensed driver and a fully equipped and highly skilled one. The five day “Super Star Driver Training Programme” culminates with a theoretical assessment. Drivers who pass are issued with a certificate and equipped with the skills to become better drivers.
